About OG Midwife

What this is, and why it exists

OG Midwife is an educational consultation practice for expectant parents navigating the decisions of pregnancy and birth. It exists for a specific moment: after a provider has given a recommendation, and before a family has had the chance to truly understand it.

It is built for parents who have been told they are “high risk,” who are weighing an induction or intervention, or who simply want a second perspective on the choices their provider has presented — guided preparation paths, plain-language explanations of common diagnoses and interventions, and a way to book a one-on-one consultation to talk through a specific situation.

The consultation is informational and supportive, not directive. OG Midwife does not diagnose, prescribe, or tell you what decision to make. Instead, it helps you understand the evidence, the risks, and the alternatives so you can have clearer conversations with your own care team and make the choice that is right for your family. This is education, not medical care.

Why a separate consultation? Because the questions that follow a recommendation — what could happen if we wait, what changes if we intervene, what alternatives exist — deserve more time and context than a routine appointment usually allows. OG Midwife exists to give those questions room.
